Private lessons are aimed towards students of all levels and ages, and are ideal for students who are dealing with certain injuries or health conditions, including pregnancy and postnatal recovery. The focus of the lessons depends on the needs of each student as well as their individual focus.
If you're newer to yoga, there will be an emphasis on the breath and the optimal alignment of the body within each pose. If you're more experienced and you want to deepen and refine your practice, more challenging poses can be explored to create greater clarity on the technique and the key actions necessary. If you're dealing with injuries or health conditions, the focus will be on how to regain mobility and strength in that area of your body as well as work in a holistic way so that the healing process can accelerate.
At the end of each session I offer a few suggestions to each student to practice between our sessions together. This helps to consistently create optimal physical movement patterns, and to cultivate a strong physical body that fully supports them in their practice and daily life.
I offer lessons on Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Therapeutics, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. All of my classes explore the principles of optimal alignment and, depending on the needs, interests and level of each student, different practices of Yoga can be explored, such as mantra, mudra, pranayama and meditation techniques.
